How to Stay Motivated on the hCG Diet!

Thursday, July 26th, 2012

Set reasonable goals!

If you started this diet because you want to be skinnier than you were in high school, the frustration of not being able to obtain that goal might make you want to quit.  Start with smaller goals, like 10 pounds or a dress size, and make them bigger as you succeed.

Reward yourself often!

Have a reward for each goal you achieve.  Not a food reward of course, but a spa treatment, item of clothing, movie, or other fun outing.  Rewarding yourself more often for reaching smaller goals can help keep you motivated throughout the entire diet.

Build a support system

Tell friends and family about your diet so they know to support you and not throw temptation your way.  While you can’t expect diet-friendly foods at all social events, at least they will know not to take it personally when you pass on the dessert.

Find online support

You can find free online support communities at Yahoo! Groups, MSN Groups and on iVillage.com.  The community on the hCG 1234 Facebook page is very active and offers great support from hCG 1234 and other hCG dieters! www.facebook.com/hCG1234

Know “what’s for dinner”

Try to have a daily meal plan and incorporate new recipes into your diet.  Eating the same old thing every day can get boring!  And if you don’t plan ahead you may end up just grabbing what is convenient.  Check out our recipe section for hCG diet approved recipes www.creativebioscience.com/recipes

Forgive yourself for setbacks

It’s difficult to be “good” all the time!  Don’t beat yourself up if you eat something you should not have.  Just make a recommit to yourself to following the hCG diet!

Tips for hCG Diet Success While on Vacation

Tuesday, June 19th, 2012

Book accommodations with a kitchen

This will allow you to prepare your own meals so you can less out less frequently.  Have a grocery list of hCG approved foods and stock your fridge and kitchen with those foods so you will not be as tempted to eat out.

When at a buffet head to the salad bar

Raw unprepared hCG diet approved vegetables and fruits are your best bet.  And take your own salad dressing if you can.  The cooked foods will be prepared with butter, oils, and sugar that you will want to avoid.  Drink plenty of water, coffee, or tea to help you feel satisfied.  And of course avoid the dessert table!

If you are eating out ask how the food is prepared and control portions size

Ask if they can prepare your meal without oils, butter, or other types of fat.  To control portion size order off the lunch menu, save half of your entrée, or share one entrée with your spouse or friend.

Pack Healthy Snacks

Have healthy snacks on hand to keep hunger at bay.  This will help you avoid the closest most convenient fast food restaurant, airport snack shop, or hotel vending machine.

Pack boredom busting items

If you have a long wait at the airport or long drive bring a good book/magazine or take a walk around the airport to keep yourself busy.  This will help you keep your mind off of food and help you avoid snacking.

Drink plenty of water

For the best weight loss result, you should be drinking at least 2 quarts of water every day. Water helps your stomach fill full and sometimes thirst can be mistaken for hunger.

Quick Tips for Completing Phase 2 of the hCG 1234™ Diet

Monday, May 14th, 2012

The following diet charts created by Creative Bioscience will be very helpful for dieters during Phase 2 of the hCG 1234™ Diet.  The chart will track your daily weight, remind you to take 10 drops three times each day, and keep track of your daily food intake.

The diet chart breaks down the foods dieters are allowed on the hCG diet into protein, veggies, bread, fruit, and beverages.  To use the diet chart effectively mark the food serving with an L if you ate the food for lunch, D for dinner, 1 for first snack, and 2 for second snack.

This simple, effective tool will allow you to track your progress throughout your entire three week program.  Doing a six week program?  Print off a second sheet to track your next three weeks.

Phase 1: Loading (3 & 6 Week Programs | Days 1 – 2)

Wednesday, May 9th, 2012

Although it isn’t mandatory, it is recommended that you do a lemonade colon cleanse for a minimum of ten days before starting the hCG diet. Here is a link to the instructions on how to do a lemonade colon cleanse http://www.hcg1234.com/blog. If you choose to do a different type of colon cleanse, your local health food store can recommend the proper product for you.

Beginning Phase 1:

For the first two days, start taking the hCG 1234™ drops by placing the drops under your tongue and hold them there for 60 seconds. Swallow the remaining liquid. Do not drink 10 minutes before or after taking drops. Do not eat 30 minutes before or after taking the drops.

You will need to take ten drops three times per day for a total of 30 drops per day. Take the drops once in the morning, 30 minutes before lunch, and then again 30 minutes before dinner.

During the first two days of taking the hCG 1234™ drops, you’ll need to eat as much high fat food as you possibly can. During these two days you are storing fat to be used as energy during Phase 2, the low calorie portion of the diet. Do not skip this step; your energy level will suffer if you do not do this step correctly.

The best foods to eat during Phase 1 are milk chocolate, pastries, ice cream, peanut butter, bread (with lots of butter), and pork products. Look for foods with high fat content. Don’t worry about the weight you gain during these first two days. This weight will be quickly lost during Phase 2.
