hCG Diet Phase 3: Stabilization
Congratulations on your progress and hard work on the hCG 1234 diet!
During Phase 3 you should start out with a 1200-1500 calorie diet in the beginning and increase to 1800-2000 calories depending on your lifestyle. You can now begin to add more food back into your diet, just be sure to avoid sugar and starch for 3 weeks. It takes about 3 weeks before the weight reached at the end of Phase 2 becomes stable, i.e. does not show violent weight fluctuations.
It is best to add foods back one at a time so you can see how your body reacts to each item. You can have dairy, nuts, fats and oils, but beware of extra-sweet fruit like bananas and mangoes during this phase. During this period you must realize that starches, like potatoes and breads, are by far the most dangerous and should be avoided during the entire Stabilization phase (see the list of starches to avoid below).
Weight must be observed very carefully during the first 3 weeks after the treatment has ended. You must weigh yourself every morning after emptying your blatter before you eat or drink anything. As long as your weight stays within two pounds of the weight reached on Phase 2, you should not take notice of any increase. The moment the scale goes beyond two pounds, even if this is only a few ounces, a steak day will put you back on track.
Steak Day
The steak day MUST be done the day of the gain. A steak day is where you do not consume anything all day except water. You must skip breakfast and lunch entirely but drink plenty of water. That evening, for dinner, you must eat a large steak (cooked without oil). Later that evening you can have either one apple or one raw tomato.
The following morning, you should be back within two pounds of your lowest achieved weight. This is how you keep yourself from gaining back the weight you lost earlier in Phase 2.
The Conclusion of hCG Phase 3
Doing Phase 3 properly is essential to reaching hCG Diet Phase 4: Maintenance where you enjoy ongoing health and eat a variety of foods. Now that you’ve lost the weight and reached your goal, you want to keep your new body! Congratulations on your weight loss! Keep up the hard work!
