I skipped on veggie yesterday (was going to eat it at lunch) & ate one extra fruit at 8p when my blood sugar level was in the 70s (just a little low). At 10p I tested at 120, & in the morning at 7am I tested at 125!!! I did take less long lasting insulin last night & am settling on 35 units per night until I can get a baseline of what will happen with my sugar levels. So I cheated with 1 extra fruit, but skipped a veggie (I know the calories & nutrition does not equal out).
I strongly recommend that each of you get a food scale! I had lost the one I used a few years ago & didn’t weigh my protein for the first couple of days. It amazed me that 3 chicken breast tenders came out to just under 200mg. IT WAS LIKE MANNA FROM HEAVEN!!!! I took my hCG Drops last night & finally weighed out the chicken, was happily surprised (would have been dreadful if I ate the full 200mg of plain shrimp). I seasoned it with McCormick Seasoned Salt, placed it in my toaster oven on 350 Toast (ie I used the toast setting) for 20 minutes. IT WAS AWESOME!!! The Sourdough Melba Toast with that chicken & spinach was a great dinner!
I didn’t get to the drink I wanted to make, but will try that later tonight as it requires some strawberries. I also have heard that when some people plateau, they still loose inches (hence “Pounds And Inches”). So I am measuring myself every day starting today!
